To speak of the releases, Maxx first, the domestic manufacturer has released the AX8 Race and the AX9Z Race for the market. The two Android-powered smartphones have been priced at 8,875 INR and 12,375 INR. The AX9Z Race is the priciest among the lot of the 10 phones released.
To speak about the specifications of the phones, the Maxx AX8 Race is a single core Mediatek based phone which comes with a 5 inch display with a WVGA resolution of 800×480. The phone will have support for dual SIMs with dual standby, and will come with a slightly out-dated version of Android, the 4.0.3 ICS. The device will have an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, and a 2MP front camera, and will be powered by a 2300mAh battery. When memory is concerned, the device will feature 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of on board storage. The other phone from Maxx will be the Ax9Z Race, and this phone will come with slightly better specifications compared to the AX8. The AX9Z will sport a 4.5 inch qHD (960x540p) touch screen, and will come with the MT6577 chipset which has a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor embedded in it. Android version will be the 4.1 Jelly Bean, sothe user will not have to worry about updates for quite some time. The AX9Z again will have support for dual-SIM and dual standby, like the AX8. Coming to Celkon, the two devices launched are the Signature One A107 and the A9+. Both these devices come powered by Android, and are priced at 6,999 INR and 3,299 INR respectively.
The Signature One A107 comes with a 5 inch display, with a resolution of WVGA 800x480p. The phone will be powered by a 1GHz dual core MT6577 processor, and will sport an 8MP rear camera. The device will be powered by a 2100mAh battery which should have enough in it to take you through one day. The other Celkon release, the A9+ comes with a 3.5 inch screen with a resolution of HVGA 320×480 pixels. It will be powered by a single core 1GHz processor, and will come bundled with Android 4.0 ICS. The device will sport a rather small battery of 1350mAh, but given the screen size it should be enough. That was for the 4 devices from Maxx and Celkon, coming to Adcom, the word is that they have released 6 new devices in the Indian market, but the specifications of the same have not been released yet. The phones will be called A-530 HD, A-500, A-450, A-430, A-400, and A-350, and will start at a price of 3,199 INR in the country.
