Blu already has a portfolio of low-cost devices, but most of them come packed with less capable SoC and low display resolution, RAM or other specs to keep their pricing low. But, the latest one – Life Pure XL appears to be a game changer as it comes with best-in-class specifications. Well, the company’s latest flagship model features a 5.5 inch FHD IPS JDI display boasting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection as well. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz coupled with a 2,500 mAh battery. Though the handset is fueled by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the vendor assures that it is upgradeable to Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. Furthermore, there is a 16 MP primary camera at the back with a Largan M8 lens and support for 1080p video recording. This is teamed up with an 8 MP front-facer that assists in making video calls and in clicking selfies. The Blu Life Pure XL arrives in two configurations – L260 and L259 respectively. The L260 features 32 GB of internal storage and packs 3 GB of RAM, whereas the L259 has 16 GB of default storage space and 2 GB of RAM. Connectivity is handled by aspects such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS, NFC and micro USB. The Blu Life Pure XL comes in a slew of vibrant color variants such as Black, White, Blue and Pink and the Black colored L260 model is claimed to go on sale in U.S. starting from today for $399 (approx. Rs 24,000). The White variant is said to be available from May 9. On the other hand, the L259 variant will be priced at $349 (approx. Rs 21,000) and it will hit the retail stores in Royal Blue and Glimmer Pink colors from June. If these specs look familiar to you, thats only because they are. The phone is identical to Gionee Elife E7 in looks and specifications and is selling in the same price range in India. This also means its not very likely that you will see Blue Life Pure XL in India any time soon.
