Let us talk about what the camera application gets courtesy of Version 3.2 update. The update brings the functionality of taking pictures using the volume and headset keys instead of using the touchscreen to click pictures. The updated application will be compatible with Android 4.4 KitKat completely and brings some bug fixes as well. “We designed the Camera app to help people take pictures more quickly and more naturally. That’s why you can easily snap a photo by touching anywhere on the screen and on Moto X you can launch your camera with two twists of your wrist. For those that prefer the click of a physical button, though, this new update lets you take a picture by just pressing the volume button on your Moto X, Moto G, or Droid Ultra,” is what Motorola stated in a blog post regarding the updated application. The updated gallery application brings an all new timeline view. You can now drag the scroll bar in the camera roll for browsing between photos and videos faster. The updated timeline can show you more of the pictures and videos in the gallery. It also lets you choose albums as your default view every time you open Gallery. Barring these two applications, Motorola Assist application has also been upgraded which will let you choose which calendars to showcase in case you have multiple Google accounts. Moto Care now gets rechristened as Help. The Moto Active Display which is one of the better features of the Moto X gets updated to Version 2.1.5 as well and it now runs more smoothly than before and brings with it some bug fixes as well. The applications come pre-installed and the notification for the updates will be en-route to your device.
