According to fresh leaks, Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will have the same perforated back case and will encase a 4.5 inch display featuring 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. The chipset used is 1.5 GHz Exynos 3 quad core backed by 1.5 GB RAM, Mali 400 MP4 GPU and 16 GB expandable storage.
The Mini variant will have an 8 MP rear shooter coupled with a 2 MP front camera for video calling. Other features include IR blaster (smart TV remote control feature), Ultra Power Saving Mode, Private Mode, Kids Mode and a 2100 mAh battery. We are more excited to see Galaxy S5 Active, is the toughened S5 with IP67 certification. The phone is shock proof, water proof (3 meters up to 30 minutes) and dust proof. On the inside, samsung has provided with all high end specs that we have seen on Galaxy S5.
The super AMOLED display is 5.1 inches in size and features 1080p Full HD resolution. The phone employs Snapdragon 801 quad core beast ticking at 2.5 GHz and aided with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. Imaging hardware includes 16 MP rear sensor and a 2 MP front camera. All hardware powered by a 2800 mAh battery. Besides these two phones, Samsung is also testing several other mid range and budget Android smartphones in India with display size varying between 3.5 Inch and 4.7 Inch. We can expect the official release of some of these phones by next month.
